I haven’t been posting many personal photos this year on social media and especially lacking on updates with my blog. But, our trip last month to Mazama really got my creative inspiration flowing. This year has be tough, and finding the time and inspiration to pick up my camera when not working has been a struggle.
This moment caught, these 20 minutes of light, will stay with me forever. Stalking and catching grasshoppers…over and over and over again… as we walked to dinner at the Mazama General Store (amazing tiny gas station store)….we couldn’t go more than a few steps before slowing down to stalk, chase, catch and release.
This night was a reminder that what we experience together and what I see behind my lens are one and the same. That I only need to have my camera out for a few minutes. Because for me, photographs are my memory keepers. My way of returning to a place and time over and over again. This time, it will be Grasshopper hunting!
